From the Deep…

This introspective retreat is a journey of self-discovery to find the masks we wear, the reasons why we carry them, and the lessons they have come to teach us, so that we can transform them. The roots of these patterns are in the unknown, stored in the body, so how do we find them?

Read on to discover if this retreat is for you…

Benefits you can receive:

  • A boost in self-appreciation

  • reduction in anxiety and stress

  • a drop in worry and eradicate guilt

  • overcoming past trauma

  • honest connection with others

  • fewer emotional triggers of rage, tears, complaint or upset

  • expansion of your silent, peaceful centre

  • clarity on how to manage a life altering challenge.

Typical patterns that are worked with:

  • Self-judgement

  • guilt/shame

  • not believing you’ve done enough or are not good enough

  • excessive worry

  • a drive for perfection and attempt at being β€œsuper-human” while compromising yourself

  • erratic and illogical emotional responses

  • a desire to please others for external validation

  • an underestimation of your worth and self-recognition

  • inability to say a healthy β€œno”

A transformational tool like no other…

To discover these masks and patterns, Kindi and Neerava will share the Self-Healing Dalian Method. This powerful tool is a straight forward, no nonsense approach to the self-discovery process. It works with all aspects of the human experience; physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, our energy system, the unconscious and our consciousness. It utilizes deep breathing through different parts of the body in a very precise sequence and out-loud expression of thoughts and emotions as they surface in each given moment. What makes the Dalian Method stand out among other modalities is that it bypasses the mind, as it is the mind that has created all our suffering and pain. Transformation happens spontaneously as a result of allowing ourselves to express repressed thoughts and pent up emotions without judgement, thus bringing layers of the unconscious to light, seeing our lessons and the root causes of our behavioural patterns or issues. The new awareness and change arises in the body and it can’t be lost.

 Our Facilitators

Neerava S. Kroeger
Camp Fircom Community Engagement Director

Neerava’s greatest joy is expressing her creativity and drawing inspiration from her inner self. Although she has pondered big questions about life and spirit since she was a child, she began a deeper journey in 1998 when moving to BC. At that time, numerous synchronicities unfolded to rapidly change the course of her life. In late 2001, Neerava began leading yoga and meditation sessions in her home studio, schools and businesses. She also began leading women’s healing circles.

Continuing to delve into the realms of healing, Neerava explored various modalities and underwent many trainings and workshops to deepen her understanding of navigating her spiritual journey, while also raising her two precious daughters. From 2003-2009 she worked for InspireHealth, and 2005-2009 as a Palliative Outreach Practitioner. In 2013, Neerava found the transformative Dalian Method, created by Mada Eliza Dalian. This discovery profoundly impacted her life. Fully embracing this method, guided by Mada’s wisdom, she officially became a certified Dalian Method facilitator in 2015. Neerava has facilitated Dalian Method classes, workshops and retreats in her Tsawwassen home studio, as well as other places in Canada and Europe.

From 1999 to 2006 Neerava overcame tremendous personal blocks in order to open her voice and transform her fears. Since then she fine-tuned her musical gifts of singing, playing the piano, and has offered and led music for countless events from 2004 onwards. Neerava was music director for CSL Vancouver (2006-2008), Tsawwassen United (2009-2014) and briefly at UCOL in Langley (2021-2022). In early 2019 after 14 months of supporting both her parents through their cancer battles, she began writing her own music, with a strong desire to express her own experience pondering this journey called LIFE.

In June, 2022 Neerava met Camp Fircom’s Executive Director, Terra McKenzie. Intuitively she knew they were destined to work together, and has since been devoting herself full-time to Fircom, sharing her communication skills, facilitation techniques, and creativity in many ways. Leading Fircom retreats allows Neerava to weave together all her passions and talents, providing guests with a welcoming, holistic, and transformative experience.

Kindi Dulai-Gill - Co-facilitator for April 4-7, 2024 retreat

Kindi Dulai-Gill identifies firstly as a mother of three grown children, and is the founder of Spark Expansion. A former CEO of a private company, responsible for 3000 people nationally in the UK, she has 40 plus years of experience in Leadership and Change Management, within the workplace and in the homeplace as well.

Kindi is trained as a Chartered Accountant and is a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers, the former President of the local Vancouver and BC chapter. She is also a Certified Facilitator of the Dalian Method from the Dalian School of Health and Consciousness, an accreditation that has been supported by 15 years of explorative work in understanding her human condition, and the underlying unconscious biases.

Despite her successes in the material world, Kindi lacked fulfillment trapped inside her tyrant-like head. Kindi’s revelatory moment came in 2008 when she took the courage to explore her inner state, and change her focus from fixing problems, to transforming their root cause. Her findings have now become the life-altering catalyst for her powerful sessions, presentations and workshops designed to revolutionize lives. We are very excited to welcome Kindi and all her gifts to Camp Fircom!

Retreat Theme Song:

Dropping these faces, no easy task,
the body holds on to every mask.
Shedding old stories I once embraced,
searching to find my original face.

Reflections are fading, who will I be,
if I let go of these identities?
Facing the mirror and willing to see,
past all these false realities.

Breathing and watching the silent spaces,
embracing the dark and fearful places.
Keep letting go of all I see,
resting in sweet mystery.

β€œSweet Mystery” music and lyrics by Neerava S. Kroeger, 2019
