Led by Claire MacDonald and Anna White, Yoga & The Wild Heart combines restorative yoga with reflective art classes to create the perfect balance of relaxation, creativity, and fun.

Looking to develop or deepen your yoga practice? Need to get away from the city and relax? The Fircom Yoga Retreat is the place for you. This incredible adults-only, long-weekend retreat also offers those who missed out on camp as a kid the chance make camp memories.

Claire MacDonald (Vijnana & Yin Yoga) will lead the group through a yoga practice that links the intelligence of the body with the wisdom of the heart.  Breath-work, postures and seated meditation are the foundation of the practice. Fluid exercises that calm the nervous system and foster natural and effortless movement will be included, creating cohesion in the body. The retreat is open to all ability and experience levels.

Anna White brings her art background to support the yoga sessions. Anna will also hold space for our community building throughout the retreat. Arts and crafts, playful activities, dance, singing, writing, guided reflection, and campfires are a few ways that we’ll get to connect with our hearts, each other, and the land.

The weekend schedule builds in lots of free time to explore or rest along with optional activities like canoeing, hiking, and archery. The meals during the retreat will be sumptuous, healthy vegetarian fare. Our kitchen team can meet all dietary needs. If you have an intersection of dietary needs/wants extra charges may apply. 


Cost

$550 Craigcroft Accommodation (Shared room w one other person. Must bring own bedding)

$650 Cottage Accommodation (Shared room w one other person. Bedding included)

Includes return water taxi from Horseshoe Bay, all meals and snacks, accommodation and programming.

Optional add-on of $100 to upgrade to a private room.

  • Provided: foam block, strap and blanket for yoga sessions


 

Where is Fircom?

Camp Fircom is just 60 minutes via public transit from downtown Vancouver to Horseshoe Bay and then a short 20-minute water taxi ride to the camp. This retreat will be taking place on the unceded, traditional, and ancestral lands of the Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) Nation.
