Fircom Outdoor School: Big Ideas Immersed in Nature

Fircom outdoor school is a group of outdoor educators, wilderness guides, and farmers who are passionate about connecting students with the land and with each other. It is founded on the belief that experiential outdoor education is a cornerstone of student development. Fircom offers a distraction free space that encourages imagination, creative exploration and problem solving.

Built on prescribed learning outcomes, Fircom Outdoor School programs are completely customizable. Marissa, the Outdoor Education Manager, will work to tailor the program options to fit each class or school group. We have an incredible forest and ocean outdoor classrooms, high quality arts explorations, and a learning farm and cooking lab along with traditional camp activities. We are educators that care about your kids’ successes as much as you do. Life-lessons and teachable moments are woven seamlessly into our ridiculously fun programs. Kids will be laughing and high fiving their way to higher levels of learning about both themselves and the world we live in.

With the new curriculum on the forefront of education in BC, adaptations to the way kids are living and growing are now a necessity in the classroom. Camp Fircom delivers on these Big Ideas and Core Competencies with an incredibly successful experience in nature.

Fircom Outdoor School is located on the ancestral, unceded, and traditional territory of the Squamish Nation. We are so grateful to be on this land and are committed to forming new relationships with the land and with members of the Skwxmú7mesh Nation and all other First Peoples.
