Camp Cook: First Cook

OVERVIEW: Working with the Food Service team, the Camp Cook - First Cook will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the Food Service Department. The Camp Cook - First Cook will provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff members of the kitchen team and any volunteers that are working in the kitchen. COMPLETE JOB DESCRIPTION

DATES: This position is full-time, minimum 30 hours per week from April 2nd through to October 25th, 2026. As such, the successful candidate is required to live on site during this time period.

Guest Experience Host:

Hospitality and House Keeping

Summary of Position: The Guest Experience Host is responsible for all aspects of our guests’ successful and enjoyable experience on site, and includes tasks related to housekeeping, hospitality (customer service) and programming. This position is full-time, minimum 30 hours per week, with weekly hours based on the staffing needs of the Guest Experience department. As such, the successful candidate is required to live on site for the duration of the contract. A schedule for each month will be provided to the successful candidate by the 15th day of the month previous (i.e., the work schedule for July will be provided by June 15th).

Living Arrangements: Accommodation is provided in a shared unheated cabin without plumbing, electricity, or internet. Shared washroom facilities are available exclusively for staff use, and access to the internet is available in most communal buildings throughout camp. Meals are included when guests are on site and Food Service is offered.

Section Coordinators

SECTION COORDINATORS are responsible for assisting the Summer Camp and Program Directors with the planning, preparing and leading all of Camp Fircom’s Summer Camp sessions. As well, this position works in collaboration with the Summer Camp Director to coordinate the behind the scenes logistics that lead to a successful overall camper, volunteer and staff experience. These are full-time positions during the summer months (June 16 to August 15). As such, the successful candidates are required to live on site during this time period. During the spring and fall months, these positions may have the opportunity to be employed on a casual part-time basis, with work hours dependent upon staffing needs.

DATES: Summer Start date - June 12, 2026; End Date - August 14, 2026
During the spring and fall months, the successful candidate is expected to be available to work during the following sessions: Easter Family Camp: April 3-6, 2026, Queer Family Camp: May  15-18, 2026, Dad & Kids Camp: June 12-14, 2026, Fircom Outdoor School: June 15-20,2026 Summer Family Camp: September 4-7, 2026, as well as two option sessions: Circle of love: February 13-16, 2026 and Spring Break Camp: March 15-20, 2026. On-site training:
● Friday, June 12 (evening) - Sunday, June 14 (afternoon)
● Thursday, June 25 (evening) - Tuesday, June 30 (afternoon)
