What is this Retreat all about?

From the Deep is a small, intimate retreat for women who feel ready to engage in deeper self-reflection.

Set within the natural beauty of Camp Fircom, this retreat offers a quiet and supportive space to step back from daily responsibilities and reconnect with yourself. Through guided meditation, structured self-inquiry, and time in nature, participants are invited to explore the question: What is ready to shift in my life?

This retreat includes an introduction to The Dalian Method, a structured self-inquiry process designed to help participants identify and move through long-standing emotional and mental patterns. The process is facilitated in a grounded, supportive way and is always optional. No prior experience is required.

From the Deep is best suited for women who feel curious about looking beneath surface-level stress and are open to reflective, facilitated inner work in a retreat setting for personal insight and clarity.

As with all Fircom retreats, there will also be nourishing meals, time in nature, and space for rest and connection.

Spots are limited to maintain an intimate group experience.

FROM THE DEEP-2
Going Deeper Retreat

DATE:
TBA - please inquire

Maximum: 12 Women
Cottage - 2 per Room

Prerequisite:
Women that have previously worked with The Self-Healing Dalian Method

GOING DEEPER - IS JUST LIKE IT SOUNDS:

As the name suggests, this retreat is designed for women who already have experience with the Self-Healing Dalian Method and would like to continue their work in a focused retreat setting.

Going Deeper offers extended time for structured self-inquiry, allowing participants to work with patterns or themes that may require more attention and continuity than a single session allows. This retreat is best suited for those who have previously engaged with the Dalian Method through private sessions, self-healing practice, group facilitation, or earlier retreats, and who feel ready for a more immersive experience.

In addition to facilitated sessions, Neerava will incorporate gentle yoga and voice-based exercises to support relaxation, embodiment, and preparation for deeper inquiry work.

As with all Fircom retreats, there will be nourishing meals, time in nature, and space for rest and connection.

Participants may choose to work with themes such as:

  • Self-judgment

  • Guilt or shame

  • Feeling “not enough” or overly self-critical

  • Persistent worry or anxiety

  • Perfectionism and over-functioning

  • Strong emotional reactivity

  • People-pleasing tendencies

  • Difficulty recognizing personal worth

  • Challenges setting healthy boundaries

Participants often report:

  • Greater self-awareness and self-acceptance

  • Reduced stress and reactivity

  • Increased clarity around recurring emotional patterns

  • A deeper understanding of personal triggers

  • More grounded and honest connection with others

  • Greater ease in setting boundaries

  • A stronger sense of inner steadiness during challenging times

  • The reassurance of being supported within a thoughtful community

These retreats invite thoughtful self-exploration. Together, we look at the roles we take on, the protective patterns we develop, and the beliefs that quietly shape how we relate to ourselves and others.

The focus is not on “getting rid” of parts of yourself, but on understanding them. When we begin to see the roots of recurring patterns with clarity and compassion, new choices become possible.

Many of these patterns operate beneath our usual awareness and are reflected not only in our thoughts, but in our physical and emotional responses.

How do we begin to work with them?

A Structured Tool for Self-Inquiry

During the retreat, participants will be introduced to the Self-Healing Dalian Method, a structured process that supports embodied self-reflection.

The method combines focused exhalation, attention to different areas of the body, and guided verbal expression. This process can help bring awareness to emotional responses and underlying beliefs that may not be immediately accessible through thinking alone.

Rather than analyzing experiences intellectually, the emphasis is on noticing and expressing what arises in the moment in a supported environment.

Participants often report increased clarity, insight into recurring patterns, and a greater sense of personal responsibility and choice.

As with all aspects of the retreat, participation is invitational. You are encouraged to engage at a pace that feels grounded and appropriate for you.

Once introduced to the method, participants are able to continue practicing it independently at home, if they choose.
