Juniors Summer Camp

Juniors camp is a fantastic way to engage with the best that Fircom has to offer! As one of our classic "Kids Camp" programs, it’s chock full of summer adventure. Monday to Friday are packed full of fun and bonding with a community where you can truly be who you are!

Junior campers participate in a variety of activities that are fun, engaging, and instructive. Monday through Friday, campers spend part of the day enjoying their individual-choice activities, while the rest of the day is spent on adventures with their cabin group. Campers are encouraged to balance team work and independence in a highly supportive and safe camp environment. These campers will participate in Theme Days, friendly camp-wide games and all-camp campfires to close-out the camp day.

Camp Philosophy

Everything at camp is “challenge by choice”. No kid is forced to anything they don’t want to do, but they will be encouraged and supported through whatever is challenging them to try it. For first time campers, this ensures camp is safe and fun. The variety of options means there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

Juniors campers will stay in either our Cabins or our Sibley tents. Ensure that your camper packs warmly as these accommodation can get quite cool on summer evenings.

Camp Fircom is continuing and deepening its partnership with the Squamish Nation and the David Suzuki Foundation during our last week of camp.

This partnership week will happen in the week of August 12th: Juniors, Session 3. Campers participating in this session will do many of the Fircom activities they love while also being immersed in culturally based programming led by Squamish elders. The Camp Suzuki Leadership program (age 19+) will be on site over the week and all the programs (Juniors, Intermediates, and Polaris) learn about the natural ecosystems within the Howe Sound from staff from the David Suzuki Foundation.

Staff are working hard on designing this exciting collaboration. More detailed information will be available in February and registration will open for this session then. It's going to be an incredible week! Stay tuned for more information.

I had such a wonderful time. The staff was awesome and the location was beautiful. I can not speak highly enough of the food!! It was so delicious and wholesome.

Horseshoe Bay is a very popular spot during the summer months and Fridays (the last day of camp) is especially busy with very limited parking. We’re encouraging all parents to use our Camp Fircom Bus to let us take care of getting campers to and from camp. And besides, the camp experience starts on the bus - our staff will be playing bus games and singing songs!
