Polaris is the exciting next evolution of our foundational Kids & Teens Camp program. This 6-day, 5-night co-ed program gives teens the opportunity to take on a more active role in their time at camp. Polaris youth will split their time between taking part in classic camp activities at Fircom and embarking on paddling or hiking out-trips that expand their knowledge of Gambier Island and the Howe Sound, as well as their wilderness and camping know-how. Each Polaris Adventure camp will have a combination of day trips (hikes and other beaches around the island), and a one-three night out-trip. On-site skill building activities include archery, cooking and fire building, and learning to paddle in canoes. Other on-site activities that Polaris Adventure participants will engage in are campwide games, Operation Firefly, etc.

Polaris Adventure is also designed to invite participants to step up and become confident leaders amongst their peers. By overcoming personal challenges together in a dynamic group led by supportive staff, Polaris campers will have the opportunity to recognize their own potential and leave camp feeling capable and ready for the next adventure.

Take advantage of this unique experience to explore the natural beauty of Gambier Island, make lifelong friends, and gain new skills that can build a foundation for a lifetime of adventuring in the outdoors.

Accommodation

Polaris campers stay in shared 2–4 person tents, which they also use for their overnight trips. This beautiful, forested area is located near the Welcome Pole and overlooks the Fircom public dock, offering both privacy and a stunning natural setting.

Camp Fircom continues to be the highlight of my son's summer.  I would highly recommend Fircom to everyone!
