Dear Fircom Community,

This year was filled with moments of pure magic at Fircom! From laughter on the trails and boisterous camp songs sung around the fire, to engaging conversations held on the steps of Jube and friendships sparked in cabins, the shared experiences and opportunities for connection are what make Camp Fircom truly feel like home and remind us why this community means so much.

We feel truly honoured to carry forward the legacy of the Sea to Sky Outdoor School (STS), which officially joined the Fircom family this April when we purchased its assets. We are immensely grateful to Chael and Robyn, the previous owners of STS, for supporting us through the transition and being wonderful mentors to our Islander team (Outdoor Educators). We now have two successful seasons - spring and fall - under our belt, and we look forward to hosting 16 Sea to Sky Outdoor School sessions in 2026!

We are incredibly appreciative of the support we received from the Fircom community this year - through donations, fundraising participation, volunteer time, and by joining us on site in various capacities! A core part of our work is ensuring that children, youth, and families facing financial barriers can still access the transformative experience of camp. Thanks to generous contributions from our broader Fircom community, as well as the remarkable support of Gilmore Park United Church and the Union Gospel Mission, we were able to subsidize approximately $60,000 in registration fees during the 2025 season … our highest level of support to date!

We are so thrilled to have Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Elders and/or Knowledge Keepers join us for all of our camps in 2026!
