Fircom's COVID-19 Notice #4
Dear Friends of Fircom,
We hope that all of you are well and doing your best to navigate through this very unusual time. Our enthusiastic team here at camp continues to prepare our site and facilities for the season. We will definitely be ready to welcome you all to camp when our local and provincial health authorities give approval for us to gather together in community once again!
We remain both hopeful and cautiously optimistic that we will be able to operate our summer camp programs this summer. Our intention is to make an informed decision about the summer camp season once our provincial government shares their plans for slowly reopening our economy. If we think that there may be a possibility of operating our summer camp programs (with specific COVID-19 policies and procedures in place), we will wait for industry-based recommendations from the Provincial Health Authority before making a final decision to operate in this capacity on or before June 15, 2020.
Whether or not we are able to operate our summer camp programs, we are also beginning to explore other ways that we can invite families to join us here at camp in a safe and responsible way this summer. Stay tuned for more information about vacation opportunities here at Camp Fircom!
In the meantime, we invite you to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to both receive updates on some of the projects we have been working on here at camp and to keep the spirit of Fircom alive in your hearts! Speaking of camp spirit, this Thursday, May 7th, is a special edition of the International Camp T-Shirt Day. Here at camp we will be wearing our Camp Fircom t-shirts and hoodies to display our Fircom pride and we encourage all members of our Fircom Community to do the same!
On Thursday evening at 7:15pm, we will be hosting our third virtual campfire on the Zoom Video Conferencing platform. The Zoom link to join our virtual campfire will be available on our Facebook and Instagram accounts tomorrow afternoon. We hope that many of you will be able to join us!
